Vest, by Veerle
As a child I would watch television to the rhythm of my mother’s clicking knitting needles. She would chat away for hours, going through one skein of wool after another. She taught me that every stitch counts. My knitting is all done by hand; not a single machine is used during the entire knitting process. I want to feel the wool gliding across my fingers, to direct the play of stitches between the points of my needles and personally make sure that every single cap and hat, scarf and mitten is deserving of my label. Veerle Stubbe – VEST for short
You can recognise my knitting by its subdued designs, executed in basic colours, to unobtrusively yet confidently accentuate your dress style.
But what’s even more important is this feeling: walking down the street ensconced in a cocoon of the fluffiest alpaca for that indescribably special feeling, both inside and out, no matter the weather.
The wool I use is imported from Peru, where the alpacas are shaved once every year. This makes the wool ultra-soft and strong - perfect for VEST’s rock ‘n wol!
